The Defender SN502-4Ch-002 is my 1st DVR method and for what it has must be my final. It shops a months worth of video and the video is surprisingly fine. On a 55" tv the good quality isn't significantly worse than what normal cable, employing only the coax cable, would be. The color good quality is superb. As far as the night vision I'm especially surprise on how properly the night vision video. Quite often I just like to turn to the dvr's channel to see if the pesky neighborhood cats are about. I've see a handful of excellent cat fights with it, oh and you have instant replay! I hope this video assists. Make sure you get to the finish to see video samples.
Let me just say that I place these systems in a lot for men and women and its not a negative small home system. I like the characteristics that the DVR gives and it comes with every little thing you will need in a full package. The cameras on the other hand were not a quite really good quality. For the duration of sunny days the cameras get washed out with to much light so its challenging to see something from them. The IR use for the night time is much better but nevertheless far from high excellent. General this is still a very good technique and worth the cost but given that of the cameras only 3 stars from me.
